After
the Making Love Retreat you will have a different perspective on sex, as an
individual and as a couple. You develop 'tantric eyes'. The world seen through
new eyes is a different place, and you may feel the need to talk with other
couples about your experiences since becoming more conscious in sexual
exchange. People rarely talk about sex, and when they do it is usually within
the sexual misunderstanding, so there can be no meaningful communication with
most people. To support exchange about sex we encourage couples to meet
together, in small or large groups, for sharings and meditations. Opening up to
yourself and putting it into words supports all exploration of sexuality.
Meeting with others helps to stay attuned to the true purpose and function of
sex within a relationship. It keeps us aligned to the greater purpose of love
in life. Tantra is a way of living life with intensity, it is not a special
technique. Nothing is denied by Tantra, and at the same time everything is
transformed. There is a transformation of sex into love through increasing
awareness.
